Hello, Star Scholars, and welcome back to another week in astrology…
This week is a big one as we have a Solar Eclipse in the sign of Aries the Ram.
Remember that eclipses are often shocking and bring surprising news or actions out way, and they are also astrological incidents that bring about change that usually cannot be reversed. It is good to remember this as we go into something of a turbulent week, as the changes that come now are likely to be for the greater good, even if we are unable to see how immediately.
The best advice for a week like this is to try and relax. Whatever comes your way is nothing that you cannot handle, and it is also ultimately going to reset your path to a brighter destination. Often there can be a lot of fear that comes with an eclipse, but there is really nothing to worry about, and you could find out that the news that shocks you is actually a very pleasant surprise like an engagement.
So stay positive and roll with the punches!

Chani Nicholas:
This eclipse marks the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. It will activate our hunger, entice us to tap into our energetic reserves, and it will turn on our urge to tackle all projects at once. This is action movie stunt astro — egging us on to go big or go home. But, as eclipse protocol would dictate, it may be wise to take a deep breath (or ten) and reconsider whether or not the opportunity before us is a wise way to spend our energy.
Style Caster:
Eclipses can be intimidating for sure, but this typically stems from our fear of the unknown. Astrologically, they are considered powerful catalysts for change—both individually and at a collective level—as they usher in powerful new beginnings that could sometimes feel too abrupt for our liking. Nevertheless, their spiritual influence is equivalent to divine intervention because these “disruptions” and unexpected shakeups propel us toward our destiny in the long run.
Susan Miller:
Eclipses are dramatic “wild cards” in our horoscopes. They are some of the most dramatic tools that the universe uses to get us to pay attention to areas in our life that need to change. They uproot us, surprise us, and get us moving. They shake us out of our feelings of complacency so that we can move from one level of maturity to another, to a higher plane, and they work very rapidly. Eclipses want us to change, and change we do!
And now for a look at the week according to our favourite astrologers…
The Cut:
Late Wednesday night, a solar eclipse in Aries arrives to shake up your life. Solar eclipses offer new beginnings, but they’re rarely the ones you expect or prepare for. You may not even recognize the opportunities for what they are, instead seeing roadblocks, hassles, or unwelcome surprises. This week, try to remain open to the possibility that when the dust settles, you’ll be better off.
Cosmopolitan:
It’s eclipse season! Thursday’s solar eclipse in Aries wants to awaken you to your desires, freedom, and what makes you feel fully alive. Later on the same day, Taurus season begins, inspiring you to live into your values while you engage with the unknown. On the next day, Mercury Retrograde begins in Taurus. It lasts until May 14, helping you manage the paradox you need for both stability and change.
Oscar Cainer:
This week's Eclipse isn't just any Eclipse. It forms a Blue New Moon (the second New Moon in Aries this year) and arrives on the same day as the Sun changes signs. And since it's also forming an intense alignment with Pluto, the Blue Solar Eclipse makes this an ideal week to pursue ambitious new goals that could transform our lives. That said, we'll need to strike while the iron's... er... blue! With Mercury turning retrograde on Friday, pausing for thought will be part of the process. Get cracking!
