Hello, Star Scholars, and welcome back to another week in the stars…
The big news this week is that Mars, Planet of Action, goes direct on Thursday, 12 January.
Mars has been retrograde for some time, beginning on 30 October, and you may have noticed the cosmic slowdown. People may have been lethargic, plans may not have taken off and projects may have stalled.
Fortunately, that is now set to change, but remember that Mars is also the Planet of War and can bring with it hot tempers and harsh words.
Its sudden direct motion can also cause us to act rashly, so think before you act and count to ten. To add to this, Mercury, Planet of Communication is still retrograde until 7 February (including its shadow phase), which means that not everything will run smoothly.
On a related note, Mars is often linked to car accidents, so be careful when driving this week and in the weeks to come as Mars revs back up to full speed.
You can read more about Mars Retrograde here in the Hindustan Times…
Mars has been in retrogression for more than two months leading to unpredictability in our lives and relationships. With respect to career, this could have made us more impulsive and get into unnecessary arguments with seniors and employees. Similarly, in relationships, this energy of Mars would have made us a bit more argumentative and prone to being aggressive. Since this retrogression of Mars was in Taurus sign, it would have made us more possessive of our belongings and would have lent a harsh tone as well.
And now for a look at the week according to our favourite astrologers…
Cainer:
As the Full Moon wanes, the silvery orb turns into a Golden Globe in perfect time for award season in Tinseltown. But life on planet Earth takes on a different hue this week. After several months of retrograde motion, the red planet, Mars, harmonises with Venus before changing direction. And while that could make for some spicy speeches, we'll all find it easier to communicate with passion. Even though action movies don't often get nominated, daring real-life deeds will be greatly appreciated.
Cosmopolitan:
There is nothing more important this week than Thursday! Since October 30, 2022, Mars—the planet of desire, sexuality, conflict, and momentum—has retrograded through Gemini. And it finally ends on Thursday! If you’ve felt stuck, unsure, and lacking energy since then, that was all totally normal, and thankfully it’s coming to an end. When Mars moves direct, you’ll feel inspired to pivot, replenish your energy, and move forwards to the life you want to live.
Glamour:
A social element presides as Venus, the planet of love and beauty, glides through detached and conversational Aquarius. This is a great time to connect with people from all walks of life, listen to unique perspectives, and broaden your social group. Break out of your usual, be curious and look behind any standard judgments you'd usually apply. You might be surprised and spark a lifelong friendship or S.O.
PureWow:
Things finally start moving again this week when Mars stations direct on the 12th. The action planet has been retrograde since October 30th giving us the chance to pause and re-strategize. Now that we’ve done a thorough review, we can start moving forward again. Mercury is still retrograde though (until the 18th) so don’t expect everything to come together at once. It might be cliché, but in this case, slow and steady really does win the race. Stay patient.
